Ondine’s Sweet and Simple Style

Step inside Compagnie du Sénégal et de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (CSAO*), an ethnic African retailer, and discover style that’s both cozy and eclectic. Its founder, Ondine Saglio, blends a dash of bohemia with a playful mix of colors, patterns, and styles.

Ondine Saglio and her small family have set up shop on the ground floor of a building in Paris’ tenth district. Located in a former storeroom on the other side of an interior cobblestone courtyard, the space, with its warm, chic, and no-frill style, resembles its owner in every way. The L-shaped kitchen and living room area connect the master bedroom, located closest to the entrance, to a lovely patio, which separates the children’s room from the rest of the space. The apartment’s somewhat unusual layout in no way detracts from its charm—quite the opposite, actually.
