The Cape Town home of Shine Shine founder Tracy Rushmere is a colorful, eclectic space that is right at home amongst the brightly colored facades and old cobbled streets of Bo-Kaap, an historic, multi-cultural area often referred to as the Cape Malay Quarter.
Drawn to the vibrant local culture and community and its proximity to the city centre, Tracy moved to Bo-Kaap twenty years ago after a decade travel-ling abroad, including a long spell in America where she met her photographer husband, Peter Maltbie. Together the couple have created what can best be described as a “living home”, one that constantly changes, adapting to the needs and whims of the family within.
