With the dawn of 2020 came all the hopes and dreams for a productive, happy, and healthy year ahead. But no one could have predicted the turmoil that would unfold in the months to follow. From a global health pandemic to protests over police brutality and racial injustice, life as we knew it was upended. Many of us were forced to postpone or let go of some of those aforementioned hopes and dreams. With the start of 2021, it is once again time to hit the reset button on our personal, financial, and creative life, as we navigate the continued uncertainty of our ever-evolving new normal.
Here are some of Jane’s tips to help you prepare for 2021:
1. Review the past year
To move forward, you need to consider what you have already accomplished. 2020 was Jane’s second year of business and she was able to achieve her financial goal of doubling what she made in her first year.
2. Make health and well-being a priority
Entering 2021, this is an important attitude to have. If we are not in good health mentally and physically, it will impact how we can navigate the path towards achieving our goals.
3. Connect with and accept support from others
Our support networks can inspire and motivate us to keep going even when the going gets tough. During 2020, Jane had opportunities to connect with lots of new people online whom she would never have otherwise met.
4. Stay on top of your finances
Regardless of what is happening around you, continually building a good financial foundation as a cushion for an unpredictable future is a must.
