YSWARA’s new Tearoom And Store

“I like simplicity, minimalism, soulfulness and yet I am also attracted to the serene romantic. For me these things are detached from the material and reflected in my aesthetic … I don’t want to be cluttered but I have liked dusty pink shades since I was a child … The YSWARA store colors, patterns, vibe are very much what I would have picked out as a child … they are timeless reflections of who I am.” – Swaady Martin, YSWARA founder

A Tranquil Tearoom in the Heart of the City

YSWARA, purveyor of luxury teas, recently opened its first tearoom and store at Maboneng, in the Johannesburg CBD. The space is a place to present the full YSWARA universe and share the YSWARA experience with visitors.

Since its inception YSWARA has always paid homage to the antiquity of African elegance translating it into a contemporary context and this continues in the interior design of the tearoom and store, which was achieved in collaboration with South African designer Mia Widlake of Studio 19.
