Behind the scenes at the Museum of African-American History and Culture of Washington A museum designed by architect David Adjaye

The National Museum of African American History and Culture

The National Museum of African American History and Culture

On Saturday September 24, 2016, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, part of the prestigious Smithsonian Institution, will open its doors to the public in Washington, D.C,  inaugurated by President Obama.

An event not to be missed, as the museum tells the African American history starting with slavery, then segregation, the civil rights movement, and finally, the election of the first Black American President.

If you can’t get to Washington D.C anytime soon, do not worry as MOYI is offering you the privilege of an exclusive tour of the building with British-Ghanaian architect David Adjaye, who led this colossal project which began in 2012. Our next issue (winter 2016) will feature the pictures of this tour.
